Film and writing are an extension of my installation work. They explore the trauma of post-industrial decline and the strangeness of living through it. When I employ a narrative, it is to satirise the reactionary culture of toxic masculinity that surrounds poverty and the labyrinthine bureaucratic systems which have enabled the expansion of soulless, unfulfilling, precarious work.
